Strategic Land Origination and Planning Applications for 295Mw Solar Farms

The advisor sourced, originated and executed 28 land options across 2,200 acres of farm land for 295Mw of ground mounted solar farms. The land was originated by identification of available gird capacity in close proximity to agricultural holdings. SEP Solar was formed to achieve planning approval and sell the consented land to Blue field Energy an AIM listed renewable energy fund. The advisor built a team to deliver the assets and executed the sale to the fund which had a GDV of £145M.

The sites were held by way of an option, with an agreement to lease for 25 years. The team submitted 28 planning applications for 145Mw of solar farms in the UK. It then entered into contract to sell those farms to Bluefield energy.
